Avis, Atesa, Auriga, Centauro, Europcar, Europa Car, Hertz, Sol-Mar and Record Rent a Car are all represented in Arrivals, next to baggage reclaim.

Public Transport
Road: Taxi: Taxis are available at the airport (journey time to and from Alicante: 35 - 40 minutes). The taxi rank is situated in front of the Arrivals hall. All buses depart from opposite the Arrivals hall.

Car Parking
Parking is available at the airport in two car parks with a total capacity of 1,500 spaces. One car park is located opposite the terminal building and the other next to it; long- and short-term parking rates are available.

Information
An Aena information desk (tel: (0)96 691 9100) is located at the check-in area; another one, in the Departures area, operates when the airport is busy. The Valencia Tourism Agency has an information desk on the lower floor (tel: (0)96 691 9367).

Facilities
Money and communications: Facilities include bureaux de change, ATMs and a post office. Eating and drinking: There are bars and restaurants, a fast-food outlet, an ice cream parlour and a cafeteria. Eight cafés and four restaurants are located in the Costa Blanca Plaza, the airport shopping and entertainment centre. Shopping: Shops include newsagents, tobacconists, gift and jewellery shops, a music store, cake shop, sports and shoe shops, CD and video store, and three duty-free shops. Luggage: There are lost property offices on the ground floor. There is no left-luggage facility at the airport. Other facilities: There is a 24-hour first aid service and a pharmacy.

Disabled Facilities
There is a designated area outside the terminal building for dropping off disabled passengers. There are also designated parking spaces for disabled passengers in the airport car park opposite the terminal building. The airport has lifts, ramps and disabled toilets; wheelchairs are available on request; passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.

Murcia Airport, 45 km from the town of Murcia on the Mar Menor shore, is actually San Javier Airport. For ease of travel, it is important for visitors to have transportation organised before travelling; expect the bus service and taxis to be limited particularly with the considerable number of visitors landing on the airport during the busy holiday periods.

There has been a dramatic rise in the number of passengers travelling through Murcia Airport due to an increase in low cost airlines flying to the region. Despite the increase in passengers using the airport there has not been any great development in facilities available for travellers; there are a limited number of establishments for eating and drinking. There are fewer than eight check-in desks in the airport so visitors should not be surprised if there are delays. Murcia Airport is not the place for major last minute gift shopping but to pass the time there are some shops where small gifts and duty free can be purchased. There is an ATM, Bureau de Change and bank located within the terminal and a play area for children's entertainment. People looking for information on the region will find all they need at the tourist information desk located in the terminal.
